In 2000 as MD of eHealth Australia Pty Ltd Russell oversaw the acquisition of Medseed Pty Ltd and Rx Healthcare (then the largest practice management solution for medical practices in Australia).

After Better Health Global Australia Pty Ltd acquired Medseed and Rx Healthcare in 2002 Russell was appointed as Chief Executive. Rx Healthcare was divested in July 2003 and since that time Russell has continued to act as CEO of Medseed.
